Titan Cloud has reached one of the most significant milestones, and the industry has taken notice. This year, the Association for Petroleum & Explosives Administration (APEA) presented Titan Cloud with its Milestone Award for surpassing 85,000 sites globally at the time of submission. Since then, our footprint has continued to expand and we now serve more than 100,000 sites worldwide, with 3,000 in Europe and 1,000 committed in the UK. It’s an achievement that reflects not only Titan Cloud’s rapid expansion, but also how fuel retailers and operators are increasingly using data to run smarter, safer, and more efficient networks.

Titan Cloud’s growth over the past year has been nothing short of transformative. In Europe, the company has secured 500 new sites in the Benelux region and 300 in the UK, deepening its presence in markets that are rapidly modernizing their operations. The momentum is driven by a clear need: operators want tools that help them protect margins, cut downtime, and navigate today’s operational pressures.

What makes this milestone meaningful isn’t just the size of the growth but the impact behind it. Retailers are clearly moving toward a more modern, connected way of managing their forecourts. More operators across Europe and the UK are turning to Titan Cloud to bring fuel analytics, wetstock monitoring, compliance, and day-to-day performance into one place. And in regions with strict requirements like the UK’s Blue Book, having that level of visibility and control has become essential.

Modern wetstock management: From monitoring to intelligence

Most UK fuel retailers already rely on wetstock monitoring services. They do the job when it comes to leaks and tank levels, and they sometimes flag theft, but that’s only part of what operators need now. Titan Cloud’s platform takes the same data streams and turns them into real-time, actionable intelligence.

Retailers can now see:

  • Early signs of water contamination, which has become harder to detect with ethanol-blended fuels
  • Sharp inventory drops that point to theft
  • Underperforming nozzles that hurt customer experience and revenue
  • Flow rate degradation that often goes unnoticed until customers complain
  • Runout risks that impact shop sales and customer loyalty

Operators tell us they feel the shift. They’re spending less time reacting to issues and more time preventing them. Take nozzle downtime, for example. Industry data shows nozzles can sit out of service for around six days before anyone notices. With Titan Cloud’s real-time visibility, retailers are cutting that downtime by half, protecting thousands of litres in would-be lost sales and keeping sites running smoothly.

Fuel variance tells a similar story. An undetected loss of just 0.15% at a site dispensing 300,000 litres a month can add up to more than £10,000 a year. Spread that across a network, and the impact becomes hard to ignore. These are the everyday challenges Titan Cloud helps retailers tackle, which is why more operators are turning to the platform as the industry continues to evolve.

Building trust through standards and collaboration

Reaching a milestone like this takes more than great software. It reflects steady leadership, the trust of our customers, and a commitment to improving standards across the industry. Titan Cloud plays an active role in the groups shaping the future of fuel management, including APEA, IFSF, Conexxus, PEI, and ACAPMA. Our General Manager for Europe, Morten Raaby, co-chairs the Joint Wetstock Management Work Group, which finalised the world’s first global wetstock management APIs in 2025. These standards will make data more consistent, accessible, and reliable across borders, something retailers have needed for years.

Reaching 85,000 sites reflects:

  • Growing confidence in digital transformation across forecourts
  • The industry’s push toward operational efficiency
  • A recognition that fuel retailers need deeper, real-time insight to stay competitive
  • A shift from siloed tools to unified platforms
  • A commitment to modernizing wetstock management and reducing margin erosion

Retailers are preparing for what comes next as demand shifts, costs increase, regulations tighten, and the pressure grows to get more out of every litre and every asset they manage. Titan Cloud’s platform is built for exactly these challenges. With an API-driven environment, faster integrations, and growing global partnerships, we’re making it easier for retailers to connect their data, scale confidently, and modernise operations without overhauling their existing infrastructure.

With more retailers embracing real-time insight and connected data, the industry is moving toward a future where problems are caught earlier, compliance is simpler, and operations run with far more confidence. The APEA Milestone Award highlights that momentum and the impact Titan Cloud is already making. It’s a moment to be proud of, and a reminder that there is still plenty of exciting work ahead.
