Brentwood, Tenn. - Titan Cloud Software was recently named by CIO Review magazine as one of the 50 most promising Internet of Things (IoT) firms of 2014. A panel comprising CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, and analysts, including CIO Review editorial board, all agreed that Titan was as the forefront of IoT-related technology development in the U.S. market and awarded the company this distinguished placement.

Highlighting Titan’s success in its December issue in executing cloud and IoT strategy to better serve the retail petroleum industry, the publication noted: “Titan’s IoT and cloud solutions have been very successful in reducing costs and helping environmental and fuel managers at the largest retailers better manage growing environmental risks and tightening fuel margins.”

Internet of Things refers specifically to Titan’s ability to connect to and monitor various industry devices, such as tank gauges, dispensers, sensors, and site controllers, and apply both visibility and workflow to the mass amounts of raw data collected each day. Citing this capability, the magazine reinforced the company’s accomplishments stating: “Numerically, the complexity of the industry is evident, if not staggering. [Titan] monitors and manages the fuel systems at tens of thousands of U.S. locations, each having numerous underground and above ground tanks with up to 100 equipment sensors. In total, Titan Cloud Software estimates that it currently monitors 1.53 million sensors each day, some as frequently as down to the sub-second.”

Titan uses its advanced cloud and IoT technology to improve the way convenience store operators both see and act on critical information to reduce risk and fuel higher profit margins.
